Tina, Lead Vocalist:
Tina’s father was the highly talented and well known music teacher, Roland Schanzenbach who raised her with a rich musical background from a very young age. Tina learned to play several instruments and sang all through school winning multiple awards. She went on to become a member of an original band called Exposure in the early 80's which produced over 110 original songs and did showcases for major labels including Columbia Records. She has continued to sing in the Northwest professionally in such bands as Chain Reaction, 80sINC, Rockshow and most recently Soul'd Out, covering everything from hip-hop to arena rock. Tina is a gifted vocal talent who can reach the high notes that other singers only dream about. With her dance energy on stage and her strong versatile voice, your favorite dance tunes will soar to new heights!
Shel, Lead Vocals:
Seattle native Shel Van Taylor is a high energy artist who loves to express through music. After going through the normal garage band learning process, Shel, playing Guitar, formed and performed with the Substitutes an original/cover band in Seattle from 1988-1993. The Substitutes released one full length album in 1992 and toured extensively. Shel wrote all the songs on the album. The Substitutes opened and played with the likes of The Romantics – Paul Collins Beat – The Rangehoods – The Eagertones –Elvin Bishop – Randy Hansen – Nazareth – and many many more….Shel then moved on to form and perform in Model 29, a Seattle based Power trio. Shel fronted the band, and played all guitars. Model 29 was a high energy band that created quite a buzz in the industry. Model 29 was part of the Grunge scene in the mid 90’s, rehearsed at Naf Studios, and the guys hung out with bands such as Alice in Chains – Soundgarden – Mudhoney – My Sisters Machine – Tad – Zeke – Blues Traveler and again many more…. Wild Zombie Birdhouse was the next venture. WZB released 1 EP on Macrotrack records named Tweet. Shel wrote, sang and played all instruments on this EP except for drums. Shel now works exclusively with the Take One Band and continues to record and do Video Projects.
Brian, Bass & Vocals:
Brian has been playing bass for more than 30 years. A classically trained musician, he started playing professionally in Chicago in the early 80’s and has played Blues, Soul, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Top 40, Metal, Progressive Rock, Big Band, Motown, Dixieland, and Classical. As a session player, he’s played jingles, industrial films and has been a “bass for hire” for various vocalists and songwriters. Brian spent most of the 90’s playing and composing music and sound effects for video games such as John Madden football, the “Desert Strike” series and about 100 other games and pinball machines. One of his video game compositions, the “Theme from NARC” was later recorded and released by The Pixies. He now heads the audio technology group for Xbox at Microsoft. You can hear one of his most recent creative works by powering up the Xbox video game system and listening to its startup sound.
Pascal, Guitar:
Pascal has been playing guitar for over 30 years and loves to play Blues, R&B, Soul, Rock, Pop Rock, Funk and Jazz. He has played in many bands since high school and in the late 80s he played in Take 1, one of Toronto’s Top 40 New Wave bands playing the circuit. In the early 90s Pascal took time off to exclusively study music and master his diverse playing style. In the late 90s he moved to Spokane and played with the local favorite Dave Green Band now called Ten Second Tom. Recently he played with Seattle’s dance band Rendezvous. Pascal loves to play guitar. By day he is a technoid and by night he is a rock star.
Steven, Drummer & Vocals:
Steven had a passion for drums since he was a child, he used knitting needles as sticks and played to the Beach Boys. From there he has played in some popular local bands in the eighties. He started by forming Ruff Toiz with a friend who played bass. Then played in a band called Whiskey Fixx. From there he joined Mama Troll, a harder rock Pearl Jam-esque type band'. He then formed a band called Apple, made one cd and opened up for such national touring acts such as Survivor and Bad Finger. His last venture was a couple years back with a band called Epigene. His favorite players are: Benny Greb, Chad Smith, Tommy Lee and Taylor Hawkins. His musical interests are varied. He's is into rock, funk, and current music.
